Overall an excellent and well-designed…

Overall an excellent and well-designed service. There are minor hurdles when navigating (it should be easier to print postage from an addressee on the contacts list) and some of the issues are likely to be caused by the fact that the USPS and UPS are very different systems with very different capabilities. One star deleted for the fact that the default setting would require you to print on NetStamp sheets, adding almost a nickel to the cost of every piece of mail--there are, of course, cheaper work arounds.

Couldn’t be happier

Couldn’t be happier. Particularly useful is ability to use PRIORITY MAIL without a trip to the post office. Ability to track and confirm delivery is huge.

DO NOT BUY FROM STAMPS .COM WILL NOT REFUND MONEY IS A SCAM. I NEVER GOT MY STAMPS. HAVE PROOF IN FORM OF VIDEO AND THEY WILL NOT REFUND. IT IS A SCAM NO ONE WILL HELP. TES THIS IS IN CAPS SO EVERYONE SEES THAT YOU ARE A SCAM. WILL NOT DO BUSSINESS WITH YOU AGAIN. ORDERED IN JANUARY CALLED MULTIPLY TIMES HAVE PROOF THAT MY STAMPS ON WAY HAVE PROOF NOT DELIVERED. 20 DOLLARS GONE SCAM NO ONE WILL HELP. SCAM ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not a bargain for average user

While I find it convenient method to mail ie. Print my own stamps and send my own smaller packages, the service does not save me any money. The only true part of their add is "never go to the post office again". Past that the 1st class stamps presently are $. 50 which you can print yourself. I print on sheet of 25 so I pay $12.50 for 25 stamps. The paper to print the stamps must be purchased from stamps.com. I forget the cost/sheet but its not really inexpensive. Plus to use the stamps.com service is $17.99/month. You have to use a lot of $. 50 stamps (saving $. 05/stamp) to make up the difference in the cost of the service + the cost of supplies etc. I guess you can say I save time going to the post office and the gas spent doing so, but the service would still be the more expensive for us. The convenience is the only real winning part.

Great when it works, but terrible software updates and tech support

I have been a daily user since 2009, combining orders from Amazon, eBay, Etsy and my web store. As the STAMPS.COM company grew through acquisitions and mergers (e.g., Endicia), the stability of their technical platform has gone downhill. Every software update that I have installed over the past 2 years has had bugs, many of them serious. Getting to speak with a second tier technician takes at least 30 minutes and once the bugs are identified, you have to wait until the next software release for it to be fixed. Of course that next release is likely to have its own new bugs. Pathetic Quality Assurance and very frustrating as a user.

Frustrating

Their site is very frustrating to work with. Slow. My contacts often do not come up. It will tell me my billing info is incorrect even though it is. Ugh!

When it works

When it works, Stamps.com is very good. Unfortunately, it often fails and tells me to download the app, while the app is already installed. Also, it will sometimes not let me enter an address with no explanation.

Uggh

Hey want a Wordperfect plug in that no longer works? How about a Word plug in that no longer works too? Do you like a product that loses functionality as it updates? without warning? Or a product that requires you use its program outside of word processor to print postage because that takes longer? Do you like to call customer support? Want a support team that can't fix it? You have found the perfect product which has committed to maintain its interface without change for years.

I really like Stamps.com

I really like Stamps.com. It makes it so much easier than going to the Post Office and standing in line to get postage on larger packages and stuff.

Refunds

I send out a truck of cards during the year. Refunds are hard to come by. It adds up to $12 and I've called and e-mailed with no response. Even sent by regular mail. I love the service and wish to continue with your company.

Impossible I call their Customer Service line went through their answering system then put on hold, hung up after waiting 20 min.
Sent a comment to the site email, got a response saying they would get back to me in a day or so.

Yes. SendPro is less expensive per month but you can only print on a printer purchased from them.
Stamps.com is usable on a variety of ink jet, laser and thermal printers

Yes shipping easy. Can ship up to 50 packages with a free monthly plan after 50 you have to pay a monthly fee like stamps.com does fir any shipping.

Stamps.com might as well be called SPAMS.com

Good luck trying to cancel the account. Their website directs you to follow the steps noted below in order to cancel, but the "close this account" option SIMPLY does NOT exist! It is not there!

You email them and do not get anywhere.

You call their phone number and they put you on hold for over 45 minutes!

In the meantime, they are charging you!

"In Stamps.com Online: Open the My Account drop down menu and select Manage Account. In Stamps.com Windows PC Software: Select the Account Tab.

Select the Change/Cancel Plan Tab.

Click close this account.
